INTENDED USE OF THE PRODUCT
The Drosinal® trap is designed to monitor the flight of the Spotted Wing Drosophila (SWD) – Drosophila suzukii in places of its potential habitation. It is used at plantations of soft fruit, where the pest poses a very high threat.
FEATURES OF THE PRODUCT
Drosinal liquid is a combination of different food ingredients. It does not contain any pesticides or pheromones and is highly attractive to Spotted Wing Drosophila (SWD). A characteristic feature of the liquid is its very low surface tension. Once insects touch the liquid, they drown immediately, unable to fly away. Drosinal is intended solely for monitoring the presence of Spotted Wing Drosophila. If the pest is detected, appropriate approved control measures should be used.
The shape and colours of the trap enhance its performance. The mesh in entry holes ensures partial selectivity of the trap – insects larger than Drosophila suzukii are not caught.
The trap has a very solid structure. It may be used even for several seasons.
The Drosinal® liquid is available in 1 L bottles or 5 L cans. It is used to gradually fill the trap during the monitoring.
